England Edge Closer

Wayne Rooney and Jermain Defoe both scored twice as England gave 58,000 fans, who refused to be beaten by a London travel nightmare, ample reward for their defiance with their biggest win in a competitive game since 1999.

After hitting their part-time opponents for six at Wembley, just as they did against Luxembourg a decade ago, the Three Lions know a win against Croatia on 9 September will seal a place at next year's 201 FIFA World Cup South Africa™ with two games to spare.

And if England make it, Fabio Capello will want Rooney in the same form as he has showed this season, his latest brace enough for him to streak clear in the FIFA World Cup qualifying sharp-shooters table with eight goals.

Frank Lampard's effort was sandwiched in between and half-time substitute Defoe scored twice in as many minutes before Peter Crouch netted his 14th goal in 16 international starts to take England's overall tally to 26.

While Defoe could be particularly pleased with his cameo, Rooney was the name on supporters lips as they began a journey home somewhat more testing than anything Andorra provided for their team.

Scotland Tickets

Scotland have played at eight World Cup Finals, including five consecutive tournaments from 1974 to 1990. During the preparations for the 1928 Olympic Football Tournament, FIFA ruled that all its member associations must provide "broken-time" payments to cover the expenses of players from their country who participated. In response to what they considered to be unacceptable interference, the football associations of Scotland, England, Ireland and Wales held a meeting at which they agreed to resign from FIFA. As a result, Scotland did not compete in the three interwar World Cup competitions. The Scottish Football Association did not rejoin FIFA as a permanent member until 1946.

South Africa Preparations for World Cup 2010!

One thing is very obvious that South Africa would definality be ready for World Cup 2010 despite worries over security, tickets, stadiums and transportation. South Africa is the first African country to be awarded the World Cup. South African organizers say the World Cup is expected to inject billions of rand into Africa’s largest economy and create badly needed jobs. National government is responsible for the delivery of 17 guarantees made to FIFA. These guarantees are contained in the bid book and are required of any country that wishes to host the World Cup

National government’s responsibilities are managed through the:
• 2010 Inter-Ministerial Committee
• Technical Co-ordinating Committee
• 2010 FIFA World Cup Government Unit within Sports and Recreation
South Africa (SRSA)
• Dedicated 2010 units in departments with World Cup responsibilities.
The Host Cities Forum brings together host cities, national government and the OC in managing the host cities’ preprations.

England Vs Belarus Tickets

England is one of only seven countries to ever win the FIFA World Cup, which they did in 1966 when they hosted the finals. They defeated West Germany 4–2 in extra time in the Final. England share with France the record of having one World Cup victory and this being achieved on home soil (the other winners have all won the trophy at least twice and at least once on foreign soil). Since then they have only reached the semi-finals once, losing to West Germany on penalties.

On the other hand Belarus have never qualified for either FIFA World Cup, or UEFA European Championship. However, under legendary coach Eduard Malofeev, the team came very close of playing Germany in knockout round to qualify for the 2002 World Cup in Japan and South Korea, but were defeated by Wales in the last group stage match, missing the chance to pass Ukraine, who tied their last game, for the second place, and to finish behind only Poland.

Will Berlarus be able to make its place this time? Why not check for your self! But football tickets now for England Vs Berlarus.
